How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 31, 2020 at 11:11 AM, there have been:

  • 809 608 confirmed cases

  • 39 545 deaths

  • 172 869 recoveries

The US leads with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 165 874 total cases to date, followed by Italy with 101 739 cases and Spain with 94 417 cases. 

Italy currently has the highest number of confirmed deaths (11 591), followed by Spain (8269) and Hubei province in China (3187). China leads in recoveries with 76 206 people who have recovered, followed by Spain with 19 259 recoveries and Germany with 15 824.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

As previously stated, there are 165 874 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 3178 deaths and 5995 recoveries.

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 67 384
2. New Jersey: 16 636
3. California: 7429
                                            4. Michigan: 6498
                                         5. Massachusetts: 5752

New York also has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 914 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 198 deaths.
