If you’ve already bent over backwards to set up a payment plan for self-pay patients, don’t cut further into your cash flow by mailing them a statement every month. Instead, hand them a coupon book, like those used for mortgage or car loans-and ask them to send one in, with a check, each month. Or, supply them with pre-addressed, pre-stamped envelopes already stuffed with statements.
