Amoxicillin Dosing, American Style
A quick way to dose amoxicillin using pounds instead of kilograms.

Tired of "40 mg/kg/d, divided tid"? Try these pounds-based formulas instead:
- 40 mg/kg/d = 6 mg/lb/dose
- 80 mg/kg/d = 12 mg/lb/dose
- 120 mg/kg/d = 18 mg/lb/dose
Just be sure to write the mg/kg dosing on your prescription as well, lest the pharmacist think you are overdosing a child.
