How can patients alleviate the burning sensation caused by eyedrops?

Eyedrops for a variety of conditions, from allergic or infectious conjunctivitis to glaucoma, can cause a burning sensation in susceptible patients. To alleviate this sensation, instruct patients to store their eyedrops in the refrigerator.
