COVID-19 Update: Global Cases and Recoveries as of April 27, 2020

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, April 27, 2020 at 2:31 PM, there have been:

• 3 012 484 confirmed cases
• 208 131 deaths
• 885 302 recoveries

The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 978 680 total cases to date, followed by Spain with 229 422 cases and Italy with 199 414 cases.

The US now also leads in number of confirmed deaths (55 266), followed by Italy (26 977) and Spain (23 521). Spain now leads in recoveries with 120 832 people who have recovered, followed by Germany with 114 500 recoveries and the US with 107 526.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

As previously stated, there are now 978 680 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 55 266 deaths and 107 526 recoveries.

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 291 996
2. New Jersey: 111 188
3. Massachusetts: 54 938
                                            4. Illinois43 903
                                        5. California43 801

New York City, New York still has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 17 515 reported fatalities, followed by Nassau, New York with 1620 deaths and Wayne, Michigan with 1580.
