COVID-19 Update: Global Cases and Recoveries as of June 16, 2020

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, June 16, 2020 at 10:33 AM, there have been:

• 2 115 079 confirmed cases
• 116 191 deaths
• 576 334 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 383 944
2. New Jersey: 167 103
3. California: 155 733
4. Illinois: 133 016
5. Massachusetts: 105 690

New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 30 856 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 12 708 deaths, and Massachusetts with 7647.

New York also leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 68 851 people who have recovered, followed by New Jersey with 28 819 recoveries and Pennsylvania with 58 549.

New York also leads in number of patients tested with 2 991 210 people tested, followed by California with 2 868 182 people tested, and Florida with 1 430 184 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 8 065 966 confirmed cases, 437 604 deaths, and 3 898 799 recoveries.
