Global confirmed cases of COVID-19 have surpassed 100 million. We summarize more of today's data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map.

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, January 27, 2021 at 10:22 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 25 445 700 confirmed cases
• 425 406 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 235 045
2. Texas: 2 290 621
3. Florida: 1 667 763
4. New York: 1 358 707
5. Illinois: 1 108 430

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 42 726 reported fatalities, followed by California with 38 271 deaths, and Texas with 35 420.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 1 845 210 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 748 132 recoveries and Tennessee with 662 533.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 41 010 770 people tested, followed by New York with 30 925 488 people tested, and Florida with 18 566 269 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 100 418 923 confirmed cases, 2 160 850 deaths, and 55 547 198 recoveries.
