A magnifying glass that is relatively flat and at least the size of a quarter is a tool worth carrying in your pocket. Not only is it helpful when viewing small skin lesions, but it can also be pressed against the skin to determine whether a lesion blanches and to assess the refill pattern of certain vascular lesions.
