Patient presents with 4 days increasing severe lower abdominal pain, rectal bleeding (“bright red w/ dark black clots.”) Denies fever, N/V. Appears in distress. PMH: Dx diverticulosis, 4y ago; angina, PTSD. Meds: gabapentin. Watch the ED examination.
