Better Way to Handle a Hairy Situation

Hair around a laceration can get in the way when you are trying to close the wound.

Hair around a laceration can get in the way when you are trying to close the wound. As an alternative to trimming the hair around a laceration on the scalp or on a hairy leg, try using antibiotic ointment to mat the hair down and direct it away from the wound.
