To facilitate the assessment of jugular venous pressure, shine a beam of light tangentially across the skin overlying the jugular vein while the patient's neck muscles are relaxed.

To facilitate the assessment of jugular venous pressure, shine a beam of light tangentially across the skin overlying the jugular vein while the patient's neck muscles are relaxed.
