COVID-19 Cases, Hospitalizations Up: Top 5 States Reporting Increases

COVID-19 pays no attention to holiday schedules and in the run-up to Thanksgiving in the US, cases and hospitalizations are increasing.

According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, 8 states reported double-digit percentage increases in cases between Nov 14-21, 2021. The 5 states with the most pronounced rises were in the Northeast and the South. The 5 states that reported the largest increase in hospitalizations for COVID-19 infection during the same 7-day period were in the Northeast and the Midwest, according to data from the HHS.
