How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, April 23, 2020 at 2:31 PM, there have been:

• 2 682 225 confirmed cases
• 187 330 deaths
• 732 647 recoveries

The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 856 209 total cases to date, followed by Spain with 213 024 cases and Italy with 189 973 cases.

The US now also leads in number of confirmed deaths (47 272), followed by Italy (25 549) and Spain (22 157). Germany leads in recoveries with 103 300 people who have recovered, followed by Spain with 89 250 recoveries and the US with 78 339.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

As previously stated, there are now 856 209 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 47 272 deaths and 78 339 recoveries.

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 269 756
2. New Jersey: 95 914
3. Massachusetts: 42 944
                                            4. Pennsylvania38 255
                                        5. California37 788

New York City, New York still has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 15 074 reported fatalities, followed by Nassau, New York with 1471 deaths and Wayne, Michigan with 1319.
