How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, May 11, 2020 at 10:32 AM, there have been:

• 4 132 365 confirmed cases
• 283 478 deaths
• 1 422 984 recoveries

The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1 332 411 total cases to date, followed by Spain with 224 350 cases and the United Kingdom with 224 327 cases.

The US also leads in number of confirmed deaths (79 606), followed by the United Kingdom (32 140) and Italy (30 560). The US now also leads in recoveries with 216 169 people who have recovered, followed by Germany with 145 600 recoveries and Spain with 136 166.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

As previously stated, there are now 1 332 411 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 79 606 deaths and 216 169 recoveries.

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 335 395
2. New Jersey: 138 754
3. Massachusetts: 77 793
4. Illinois: 77 741
5. California: 67 875

New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 26 641 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 9256 deaths and Massachusetts with 4979.
