How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, May 7, 2020 at 11:32 AM, there have been:

• 3 784 085 confirmed cases
• 264 679 deaths
• 1 255 685 recoveries

The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1 231 992 total cases to date, followed by Spain with 220 325 cases and Italy with 214 457 cases.

The US also leads in number of confirmed deaths (73 573), followed by the United Kingdom (30 150) and Italy (29 684). The US now also leads in recoveries with 189 910 people who have recovered, followed by Germany with 139 900 recoveries and Spain with 126 002.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

As previously stated, there are now 1 231 992 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 73 573 deaths and 189 910 recoveries.

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 323 978
2. New Jersey: 131 890
3. Massachusetts: 72 025
4. Illinois: 65 232
5. California: 60 616

New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 25 623 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 8549 deaths and Massachusetts with 4420.
