COVID-19 Update: Global Confirmed Cases as of March 26, 2020

The latest COVID-19 data on confirmed cases, deaths, and more from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map.

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 26, 2020 at 3:21 PM, there have been:

  • 521 086 confirmed cases

  • 23 568 deaths

  • 122 058 recoveries

China still leads with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 81 782 total cases to date, followed by Italy with 80 589 cases and the US with 79 785 cases.

Italy currently has the highest number of confirmed deaths (8215), followed by Spain (4145) and Hubei province in China (3169). Hubei province, however, also leads in recoveries with 61 201 people who have recovered since the outbreak began in December.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

As previously stated, there have been 79 785 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as of today as well as 1136 deaths and 619 recoveries.

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 37 769
2. New Jersey: 6876
3. California: 3247
                                            4. Michigan: 2845
                                         5. Washington: 2600

New York also has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 281 reported fatalities, followed by King, Washington with 100 deaths.
