Global confirmed cases of COVID-19 are approaching 16.5 million. We summarize more of today's global and US data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map.

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, July 28, 2020 at 8:24 AM, there have been:

• 4 294 770 confirmed cases
• 148 056 deaths
• 1 325 804 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 462 632 3. Florida: 432 7472. New York: 412 344 4. Texas: 400 336
5. New Jersey: 179 812

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 32 645 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 15 804 deaths, and California with 8539.

Recoveries: Massachusetts now leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 96 452 people who have recovered, followed by Pennsylvania with 81 198 recoveries and New York with 72 766.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 7 296 578 people tested, followed by New York with 5 627 149 people tested, and Florida with 3 431 487 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 16 495 309 confirmed cases, 654 327 deaths, and 9 590 929 recoveries.
