How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, August 10, 2020 at 8:46 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 5 045 645 confirmed cases
• 162 938 deaths
• 1 656 864 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 559 746
2. Florida: 532 806
3. Texas: 503 328
4. New York: 420 860
5. Georgia: 216 596

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 32 774 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 15 874 deaths, and California with 10 377.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 344 845 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 105 093 recoveries and Massachusetts with 99 021.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 8 826 119 people tested, followed by New York with 6 509 644 people tested, and Texas with 4 025 864 people tested.
