According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, August 28, 2020 at 9:28 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 5 870 185 confirmed cases
• 180 862 deaths
• 2 101 326 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 693 072
2. Texas: 614 696
3. Florida: 611 991
4. New York: 432 131
5. Georgia: 263 074

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 32 926 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 15 921 deaths, and California with 12 697.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 478 752 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 136 630 recoveries and Louisiana with 127 918.
