How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, August 5, 2020 at 12:36 PM, EDT, there have been:

• 4 785 528 confirmed cases
• 157 186 deaths
• 1 528 979 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 526 968
2. Florida: 502 739
3. Texas: 466 032
4. New York: 418 225
5. Georgia: 197 948

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 32 725 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 15 842 deaths, and California with 9707.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 306 262 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 105 093 recoveries and Massachusetts with 97 595.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 8 305 713 people tested, followed by New York with 6 153 767 people tested, and Texas with 3 884 848 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 18 601 795 confirmed cases, 702 045 deaths, and 11 178 978 recoveries.
