Global confirmed cases of COVID-19 have surpassed 63 million. We summarize more of today's data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map.

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, December 1, 2020 at 9:27 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 13 547 090 confirmed cases
• 268 129 deaths
• 5 146 319 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. Texas: 1 239 332
2. California: 1 234 127
3. Florida: 999 319
4. Illinois: 726 304
5. New York: 647 980

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 34 605 reported fatalities, followed by Texas with 21 902 deaths, and California with 19 214.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 962 639 people who have recovered, followed by Tennessee with 328 710 recoveries and North Carolina with 315 979.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 24 025 171 people tested, followed by New York with 19 421 498 people tested, and Florida with 12 427 765 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 63 396 852 confirmed cases, 1 471 152 deaths, and 40 728 631 recoveries.
