Global confirmed cases of COVID-19 have surpassed 67 million. We summarize more of today's data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map.

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, December 7, 2020 at 9:26 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 14 764 898 confirmed cases
• 282 348 deaths
• 5 624 444 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 1 368 519
2. Texas: 1 322 832
3. Florida: 1 058 074
4. Illinois: 787 573
5. New York: 705 827

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 34 980 reported fatalities, followed by Texas with 23 137 deaths, and California with 19 939.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 1 030 716 people who have recovered, followed by Tennessee with 360 152 recoveries and Wisconsin with 348 995.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 25 195 046 people tested, followed by New York with 20 594 694 people tested, and Florida with 13 083 521 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 67 199 309 confirmed cases, 1 538 311 deaths, and 43 201 464 recoveries.
