US confirmed cases of COVID-19 have surpassed 22 million; global cases have reached 90 million. We summarize more of today's data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map.

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, January 11, 2021 at 10:22 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 22 423 006 confirmed cases
• 374 442 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 2 717 910
2. Texas: 1 968 779
3. Florida: 1 477 010
4. New York: 1 135 592
5. Illinois: 1 028 750

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 39 632 reported fatalities, followed by Texas with 30 483 deaths, and California with 30 005.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 1 558 945 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 634 085 recoveries and Tennessee with 565 197.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 35 826 824 people tested, followed by New York with 27 321 002 people tested, and Florida with 16 817 965 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 90 409 104 confirmed cases, 1 936 898 deaths, and 50 092 793 recoveries.
