COVID-19 Update: US and Global Cases, Deaths, and Recoveries as of July 30, 2020

US confirmed cases of COVID-19 number nearly 4.5 million; global cases have surpassed 17 million. We summarize more of today's data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map.

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, July 30, 2020 at 9:48 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 4 427 620 confirmed cases
• 150 717 deaths
• 1 389 425 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 484 9132. Florida: 451 423 3. Texas  418 995 4. New York:  413 593 5. New Jersey: 180 600

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 32 658 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 15 978 deaths, and California with 8908

Recoveries: Massachusetts now leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 96 452 people who have recovered, followed by Pennsylvania with 82 663 recoveries and New York with 72 900.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 7 517 466 people tested, followed by New York with 5 746 822 people tested, and Texas with 3 539 765 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 17 061 855 confirmed cases, 667 808 deaths, and 9 990 348 recoveries.
