According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, October 13, 2020 at 9:24 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 215 089 deaths
• 3 106 728 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 858 377
2. Texas: 821 110
3. Florida: 736 024
4. New York: 475 315
5. Georgia: 332 311

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 33 301 reported fatalities, followed by Texas with 16 995 deaths, and California with 16 594.
