How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, October 27, 2020 at 10:24 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 8 708 533 confirmed cases
• 225 792 deaths
• 3 460 455 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 911 272
2. Texas: 898 302
3. Florida: 782 013
4. New York: 496 655
5. Illinois: 383 687

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 33 424 reported fatalities, followed by Texas with 17 978 deaths, and California with 17 400.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 758 192 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 231 611 recoveries and Tennessee with 219 230.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 17 982 829 people tested, followed by New York with 13 834 240 people tested, and Texas with 7 809 150 people tested.

Globally, there have been 43 623 111 confirmed cases, 1 161 311 deaths, and 29 258 784 recoveries.
