COVID-19 Update: US and Global Cases, Deaths, and Recoveries as of September 10, 2020

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, September 10, 2020 at 9:28 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 6 363 729 confirmed cases
• 190 887 deaths
• 2 387 479 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 748 133
2. Texas: 667 500
3. Florida: 652 259
4. New York: 441 154
5. Georgia: 287 300

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 33 019 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 16 008 deaths, and California with 13 993.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 558 894 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 156 652 recoveries and Tennessee with 149 698.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 12 343 797 people tested, followed by New York with 8 976 165 people tested, and Texas with 5 372 132 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 27 902 002 confirmed cases, 904 485 deaths, and 18 809 679 recoveries.
