Global confirmed cases of COVID-19 have surpassed 29 million. We summarize more of today's global and US data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map.

How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, September 14, 2020 at 10:26 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 6 521 887 confirmed cases
• 194 107 deaths
• 2 451 406 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 762 300
2. Texas: 681 885
3. Florida: 663 994
4. New York: 444 365
5. Georgia: 294 314

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 33 023 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 16 031 deaths, and California with 14 405.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 577 832 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 156 652 recoveries and Tennessee with 155 865.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 12 690 016 people tested, followed by New York with 9 318 293 people tested, and Texas with 5 550 139 people tested.
