According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, September 3, 2020 at 10:28 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 185 782 deaths
• 2 231 757 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 722 256
2. Texas: 641 855
3. Florida: 633 442
4. New York: 436 218
5. Georgia: 274 613

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 32 972 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 15 964 deaths, and California with 13 341.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 522 087 people who have recovered, followed by North Carolina with 145 884 recoveries and Louisiana with 134 432.
