How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, February 24, 2021 at 10:24 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 28 263 906 confirmed cases
• 502 837 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 543 340
2. Texas: 2 617 096
3. Florida: 1 878 533
4. New York: 1 604 892
5. Illinois: 1 177 241

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 49 888 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 47 037, and Texas with 42 521.

Recoveries*: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 2 353 741 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 894 113 recoveries, and Pennsylvania with 816 884.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 47 513 367 people tested, followed by New York with 36 760 944 people tested, and Florida with 21 264 199 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 112 247 312 confirmed cases, 2 487 890 deaths, and 63 384 251 recoveries.
