How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, February 26, 2021 at 12:21 PM, EDT, there have been:

• 28 423 944 confirmed cases
• 508 806 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 554 654
2. Texas: 2 632 934
3. Florida: 1 892 301
4. New York: 1 619 924
5. Illinois: 1 181 144

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 51 395 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 47 264, and Texas with 43 085.

Recoveries*: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 2 380 295 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 901 025 recoveries, and Pennsylvania with 830 691.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 47 814 160 people tested, followed by New York with 37 256 699 people tested, and Florida with 21 488 105 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 113 207 169 confirmed cases, 2 511 767 deaths, and 63 885 165 recoveries.
