How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 2, 2021 at 9:23 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 28 664 957 confirmed cases
• 514 660 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 573 549
2. Texas: 2 660 903
3. Florida: 1 910 921
4. New York: 1 650 303
5. Illinois: 1 187 757

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 52 491 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 47 719, and Texas with 43 909.

Recoveries*: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 2 429 453 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 911 474 recoveries, and Pennsylvania with 849 275.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 48 712 676 people tested, followed by New York with 38 281 073 people tested, and Florida with 21 784 686 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 114 554 986 confirmed cases, 2 541 219 deaths, and 64 729 938 recoveries.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as of March 1, 2021, at 12:26 PM, EDT, there have been:

• 25 466 405 people who received 2 doses

The 3 states with the highest total number of vaccine doses administered are:

1. New Mexico: 711 612 (33 938 per 100 000)
