According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 23, 2021 at 12:25 PM, EDT, there have been:

• 29 881 953 confirmed cases
• 543 179 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 644 571
2. Texas: 2 757 997
3. Florida: 2 011 211
4. New York: 1 788 874
5. Illinois: 1 222 992

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 57 623 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 49 461, and Texas with 47 450.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 52 408 982 people tested, followed by New York with 42 950 868 people tested, and Florida with 23 454 784 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?
