How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 24, 2021 at 11:29 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 29 928 341 confirmed cases
• 543 933 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 647 002
2. Texas: 2 762 610
3. Florida: 2 016 513
4. New York: 1 788 874
5. Illinois: 1 224 804

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 57 798 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 49 462, and Texas with 47 527.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 52 525 010 people tested, followed by New York with 43 094 389 people tested, and Florida with 23 272 104 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 124 378 693 confirmed cases, 2 736 980 deaths, and 70 573 246 recoveries.
