How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 3, 2021 at 11:25 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 28 725 592 confirmed cases
• 517 006 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 577 966
2. Texas: 2 668 341
3. Florida: 1 918 100
4. New York: 1 656 684
5. Illinois: 1 189 326

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 52 798 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 47 818, and Texas with 44 189.

Recoveries*: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 2 441 822 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 914 893 recoveries, and Pennsylvania with 851 608.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 48 897 190 people tested, followed by New York with 38 409 107 people tested, and Florida with 21 901 603 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 114 912 129 confirmed cases, 2 552 687 deaths, and 65 025 502 recoveries.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as of March 2, 2021, at 12:26 PM, EDT, there have been:

• 26 162 122 people who received 2 doses

The 3 states with the highest total number of vaccine doses administered are:

1. New Mexico: 721 489 (34 409 per 100 000)
2. South Dakota: 282 575 (31 942 per 100 000)
