How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, March 5, 2021 at 10:24 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 28 828 931 confirmed cases
• 520 422 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 587 567
2. Texas: 2 683 434
3. Florida: 1 930 232
4. New York: 1 670 716
5. Illinois: 1 193 177

Deaths: California has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 53 466 reported fatalities, followed by New York with 48 049, and Texas with 44 765.

Recoveries*: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 2 458 818 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 919 296 recoveries, and Pennsylvania with 856 709.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 49 147 685 people tested, followed by New York with 38 897 265 people tested, and Florida with 22 079 838 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 115 768 386 confirmed cases, 2 571 881 deaths, and 65 476 497 recoveries.
