Introducing The Primary Care Lens, with Jubril Oyeyemi, MD
A new monthly podcast digs into modern primary care, from policy and prevention to social determinants and patient trust, through candid talks with leaders.
Welcome to The Primary Care Lens !
The Primary Care Lens, hosted by Jubril Oyeyemi, MD, is a new monthly podcast from Patient Care Online that explores the realities, challenges, and opportunities shaping modern primary care.
Launching March 16, the series examines medicine through the vantage point where most patient journeys begin—primary care. Each episode will look beyond the clinic walls to discuss the broader forces influencing health, including healthcare policy, social determinants of health, preventive care, and the evolving patient–physician relationship. Oyeyemi, a practicing physician who also runs a free clinic in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, brings a perspective shaped by frontline care for underserved communities and a deep commitment to improving access to healthcare. The podcast will feature conversations with clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and healthcare leaders to better understand how decisions upstream, from health policy to clinical innovation, ultimately shape the patient experience. Topics will range from everyday challenges in primary care practice to larger systemic issues affecting healthcare delivery across the United States.
“Primary care sits at the center of medicine,” the show notes emphasize, highlighting how the specialty often reveals the realities of the healthcare system most clearly.
New episodes of Primary Care Lens will be released monthly and will be available on Patient Care Online, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other major podcast platforms.
