Questions to Get Patients Thinking

I end my review of systems with 3 questions that help patients reflect constructively on the state of their health:

•In the past year, how many days were you home sick in bed?
•What part of your body has not been working right the past year?
•What did you want to do in the past year that you couldn't because your body wouldn't?
