Which Clot Buster is Best for Acute Coronary Syndromes?

Is heparin necessary for a hospitalizedpatient with an acute coronary syndromeif he or she is receiving long-termwarfarin therapy?

In general, I would recommend stoppingwarfarin and replacing it withheparin plus aspirin. There is noconvincing evidence that warfarin isacutely beneficial in patients withcoronary syndromes.
