Life expectancy for women in the US is the lowest recorded since 2006, according to data collected and analyzed by the Commonwealth Fund for its 2024 State Scorecard on Women’s Health and Reproductive Care. The scorecard measured performance across 3 areas critical for understanding the overall ability of individual states to promote women's health overall and their ability for bearing children: health outcomes; health care quality and prevention; and coverage, access, and affordability.
