Part 2: Recommendations for Treatment
Earlier this year, researchers provided practical evidence-based guidance on diagnosis and treatment of major depressive disorder in primary care in a 2-part review published in the BMJ. In the first part, researchers outlined an approach to effective screening and diagnosis. The second part detailed their approach to treatment of depression in primary care, including recommendations for psychological, pharmacological, and lifestyle interventions and organizational strategies.
