COVID-19 Surge Meets Flu Season (plus Other Primary Care Concerns)

The summer surge in COVID-19 cases has primary care clinicians caught between re-opening safely, addressing rebound care, and planning for flu season.

Primary care clinicians are feeling increasingly ill prepared to manage the summer surge in COVID-19 cases, the potential for another increase in the fall, and the guaranteed collision between the pandemic and the upcoming flu season. The Primary Care Collaborative has been tracking PCP sentiment since the beginning of the pandemic in the US. The slides below report on thoughts, feelings, and fears reported during the survey fielded June 26 - 29, 2020.
