How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, July 17, 2020 at 12:33 PM, there have been:

• 3 604 408 confirmed cases
• 138 649 deaths
• 1 090 645 recoveries

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 405 551
2. California: 364 835
3. Florida: 327 234
4. Texas: 308 611
5. New Jersey: 176 501

New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 32 446 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 15 665 deaths, and Massachusetts with 8380.

Massachusetts leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 95 390 people who have recovered, followed by Pennsylvania with 74 818 recoveries and New York with 71 867.

California leads in number of patients tested with 5 915 508 people tested, followed by New York with 4 921 210 people tested, and Florida with 2 815 618 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 13 885 746 confirmed cases, 592 573 deaths, and 7 779 604 recoveries.
