How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, May 1, 2020 at 8:32 AM, there have been:

• 3 276 373 confirmed cases
• 233 998 deaths
• 1 024 529 recoveries

The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1 070 032 total cases to date, followed by Spain with 213 435 cases and Italy with 205 463 cases.

The US now also leads in number of confirmed deaths (63 019), followed by Italy (27 967) and the United Kingdom (26 771). The US now leads in recoveries with 153 947 people who have recovered, followed by Germany with 126 900 recoveries and Spain with 112 050.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

As previously stated, there are now 1 070 032 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 63 019 deaths and 153 947 recoveries.

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 304 372
2. New Jersey: 118 652
3. Massachusetts: 62 205
4. Illinois: 52 918
5. California: 50 411

New York City, New York still has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 18 069 reported fatalities, followed by Wayne, Michigan with 1782 deaths and Nassau, New York with 1700.
