How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, May 12, 2020 at 10:32 AM, there have been:

• 4 210 074 confirmed cases
• 286 940 deaths
• 1 470 451 recoveries

The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1 348 183 total cases to date, followed by Russia with 232 243 cases and Spain with 227 436 cases.

The US also leads in number of confirmed deaths (80 706), followed by the United Kingdom (32 141) and Italy (30 739). The US now also leads in recoveries with 232 733 people who have recovered, followed by Germany with 147 200 recoveries and Spain with 137 139.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

As previously stated, there are now 1 348 183 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 80 706 deaths and 232 733 recoveries.

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 337 055
2. New Jersey: 140 206
3. Illinois 79 007
4. Massachusetts: 78 462
5. California: 69 347

New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 26 988 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 9340 deaths and Massachusetts with 5108.
