How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, May 15, 2020 at 10:32 AM, there have been:

• 4 477 351 confirmed cases
• 303 389 deaths
• 1 606 796 recoveries

The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1 419 998 total cases to date, followed by Russia with 262 843 cases and the United Kingdom with 234 441 cases.

The US also leads in number of confirmed deaths (85 974), followed by the United Kingdom (33 693) and Italy (31 368). The US now also leads in recoveries with 246 414 people who have recovered, followed by Germany with 151 547 recoveries and Spain with 144 783.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

As previously stated, there are now 1 419 998 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 85 974 deaths and 246 414 recoveries.

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 343 051
2. New Jersey: 142 704
3. Illinois 87 937
4. Massachusetts: 82 182
5. California: 74 959

New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 27 641 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 9946 deaths and Massachusetts with 5482.
