How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, May 22, 2020 at 8:32 AM, there have been:

• 5 128 492 confirmed cases
• 333 489 deaths
• 1 966 135 recoveries

The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1 577 758 total cases to date, followed by Russia with 326 448 cases and Brazil with 310 087 cases.

The US also leads in number of confirmed deaths (94 729), followed by the United Kingdom (36 124) and Italy (32 486). The US also leads in recoveries with 298 418 people who have recovered, followed by Germany with 159 025 recoveries and Spain with 150 376.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

As previously stated, there are now 1 577 758 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 94 729 deaths and 298 418 recoveries.

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 356 458
2. New Jersey: 151 586
3. Illinois 102 688
4. Massachusetts: 90 084
5. California: 88 480

New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 28 743 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 10 846 deaths and Massachusetts with 6148.
