How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed globally?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, May 6, 2020 at 10:32 AM, there have been:

• 3 689 887 confirmed cases
• 258 160 deaths
• 1 210 066 recoveries

The US continues to lead with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 1 206 323 total cases to date, followed by Spain with 219 329 cases and Italy with 213 013 cases.

The US also leads in number of confirmed deaths (71 152), followed by the United Kingdom (29 501) and Italy (29 315). The US now also leads in recoveries with 189 791 people who have recovered, followed by Germany with 137 400 recoveries and Spain with 123 486.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the US?

As previously stated, there are now 1 206 323 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the US as well as 71 152 deaths and 189 791 recoveries.

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. New York: 321 192
2. New Jersey: 130 593
3. Massachusetts: 70 271
4. Illinois: 65 889
5. California: 58 685

New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 25 124 reported fatalities, followed by New Jersey with 8244 deaths and Massachusetts with 4212.
