How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, January 12, 2021 at 9:22 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 22 620 333 confirmed cases
• 376 295 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 2 758 021
2. Texas: 1 990 502
3. Florida: 1 488 586
4. New York: 1 149 771
5. Illinois: 1 033 526

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 39 834 reported fatalities, followed by Texas with 30 585 deaths, and California with 30 481.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 1 568 710 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 639 080 recoveries and Tennessee with 568 910.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 36 170 528 people tested, followed by New York with 27 524 906 people tested, and Florida with 16 914 911 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 91 027 775 confirmed cases, 1 948 236 deaths, and 50 412 264 recoveries.
