How many cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the US?

According to the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 interactive map, as of today, January 19, 2021 at 9:22 AM, EDT, there have been:

• 24 081 790 confirmed cases
• 399 015 deaths

The 5 states with the highest total confirmed cases are:

1. California: 3 019 758
2. Texas: 2 138 190
3. Florida: 1 579 281
4. New York: 1 255 971
5. Illinois: 1 072 214

Deaths: New York has the most deaths due to COVID-19 with 41 173 reported fatalities, followed by California with 33 746 deaths, and Texas with 32 711.

Recoveries: Texas leads in recoveries from COVID-19 with 1 697 272 people who have recovered, followed by Ohio with 684 072 recoveries and Tennessee with 614 720.

Tests administered: California leads in number of persons tested with 38 655 756 people tested, followed by New York with 29 165 703 people tested, and Florida with 17 728 996 people tested.

How many cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed globally?

Globally, there have been 95 675 708 confirmed cases, 2 043 806 deaths, and 52 781 394 recoveries.
